As I build out my video retrospective I am looking for help from friends, family and general movie lovers to talk about these films. I will be posting questions on Facebook and on this site for people to answer and submit their video responses for inclusion in my future episodes.
Below are the instructions on how to submit your video. Thank you!
Thank you for helping me with this project. This should hopefully only take a few minutes of your time. I need a video of you answering the questions below. When you are done you will upload the video to a Dropbox site using the link below. That’s it.
1) Recording Tips
- Please place your phone horizontally (landscape) when recording.
- Please use headphones (regular or Bluetooth) with a mic (AirPods are great!)
- Please try to find a spot to record with minimal background noise
- Please record with a light source in front of you, not behind (i.e. do not stand in front of a window)
- Please pause for a few seconds in between questions as I will be editing the submission and using the answers across multiple episodes.
- For an example of what I am trying to accomplish look at the people commenting on a movie in this YouTube video.
2) Create a video commenting on any of the movies on the provided list.
– PLEASE state your name, where you are from and if need be the appropriate spelling of your name.
– Feel free to answer as many as you want, for as many movies as you would like.
– Use the guided questions to inspire your comments about the movie of your choice.
- Episode 03 Questions
- Which of the movies on this list (Episode 03 Movie List) do you consider to be all-time classics?
- Do you agree they should be considered classics? If so, why? If not, why not?
- What makes a movie a classic?
- What movie do you think of when someone says, “all-time classic”? Why?
- What movie causes you to lose your mind when someone says they have not seen that movie? Why?
3) Upload
- Open this Dropbox link on your phone that you used to record the video: https://www.dropbox.com/request/plkJfoO7tVNzjMkpQg6B
- Click on the blue “Choose Files” button
- On iPhone: choose “Photo Library”, find the video you just made, click “Done”.
- On Android: choose “Files” on the Choose an action menu, select the video you just made. (You may be asked to give camera permission if you have not already. Choose to allow.)
- Add your name and email address and then click “Upload”
Thank you for your help!
