There is so much going on in this movie. It’s a layered character based story that will tug on all your emotions. It’s a beautifully crafted and shot film that should be admired for the art that it is. It’s a history lesson for a moment in time that is completely unknown to most Americans. And lastly it’s obviously a deeply personal story to Alfonso Cuarón. I just wonder which one of the kids represents him.
