Genuinely creepy with a social message.

What an amazing debut film from Remi Weekes.  Weekes makes every minute of this tight 90-minute runtime count.  If you’ve come for a creepy “horror” film you will leave satisfied but it is so much more than that.  The message that Weekes is delivering has so much more impact when it lands because of the genre he has chosen as the structure for his narrative. The actors, especially the two leads Sope Dirisu and Wunmi Mosaku, make the story come alive in a way the is terrifying and gut-wrenching at the same time.  This is not one to be missed.  Bravo, Mr. Weekes.  Cannot wait to see what is next.
