Movie #97 watched on 3/28/2019.
Director: David Lynch | Writer(s): David Lynch
So now I can say I have seen Mulholland Dr. but honestly most of the movie felt pointless. Stories that do this whole “what you see is not really what it is” can be good but I always question it when it turns out you have an unreliable narrator or main character. If it turns out the character has schizophrenia or something like that then I always question any scene that character is not in. This movie fell into that trap for me. It was narratively all over the place, scenes just felt random and unnecessary, and the conclusion was just “ugghhh”. If you want to see this done right just watch Fight Club. If this is one of your favorite movies please tell me why. I really would love to know.
