This is not what I was expecting at all. Once I found out it was a remake of a film from the 1940s then it made a bit more sense. It felt like it had that underlying 40’s film structure with a modern sensibility on top.
I cannot put my finger on it yet but there is something about this movie that enthralled me while at the same time boring me to death.
