This is probably the best version of Batman, as a whole, put on film. I do not think we get this version without all the other versions though. It’s a refinement on an iterative process for this character.

As much as I loved this movie, I do not need another dark, gritty, realistic version again after Matt Reeves wraps up this trilogy. Give me the live-action “Batman Brave and the Bold” next time, please.

I also hope that as this trilogy progress it differentiates itself by introducing the extended Bat-family. Otherwise, it’s going to be something that’s really good but ultimately, something we did not need.

Ok, with that out of the way – this movie is amazing. RP is a great Batman, Zoe Kravitz killed it, Gotham is awesome, there is just sooo much right. Batman is a detective!! Also, I went to see a BATMAN movie and they gave me freakin’ BATMAN – not 2 hrs of Bruce Wayne and 25 min of Batman.

Matt Reeves reinvented Apes in the BEST possible way. He is doing that for Batman. I’m onboard. Just get me to Nightwing before its all said and done.
